Follow up:
The architecture of the front pockets is genius, and the back pockets are actually proportionate to the junk in my trunk and positioned to make the rear view better than I could ever have expected.
Despite being only 3% Spandex, the material is stretchier than I expected; I would probably order a size down next time. There might not be a next time, though (here comes the reason for only 4 stars Overall); the second time I put these pants on, the bottom of the right back belt loop snapped off in my hand.
Looking more closely, it appears the loop was anchored only to the material of the yoke, while the loop on the left was sewed into the seam (four layers of cloth as opposed to one). In pants that cost this much, quality control this poor is indefensible. The rest of the sewing looks okay for now, but I'll be waiting to see what snaps off next!
